A themed conference on ten major industrial projects of Hunan Province was held in Changsha on May 29, 2021. Hunan will invest more than 130 billion CNY on ten priority projects including Wolkswagen electric vehicle and Yihua transportation equipment.

The Hunan Provincial People’s Government stressed, in this year’s work report, vitalizing the real economy; strengthening strategic, supportive, and leading significance of major industrial projects; accelerating industry-oriented revitalization and industrial development; and, advancing ten priority industrial projects. The ten projects are:
- Volkswagen electric vehicle;
- Yihua Transportation Equipment;
- Sunward Industrial Town Phase Ⅲ;
- Malanshan Video Cultural and Creative Industrial Park;
- Zoomlion Smart Industrial Town;
- Sany Intelligent Heavy Truck;
- Yueyang Caprolactam;
- San’an Semiconductor;
- Lens Consumer Electronics; and,
- Valin LY Steel Sheet Deep Processing.

The ten major industrial projects are distributed in Changsha, Zhuzhou, Yueyang, and Loudi cities. They are also the strategic and priority projects for implementing the Three Highlands and Four New Missions Strategy in Hunan. As of the end of April, nine of them have been started. A total of 6.87 billion CNY of investments have been completed, 34.4% of the annual plan. The Volkswagen electric vehicle project will start up in October, with an annual output of 300,000 new energy vehicles to be produced upon full operation.

The Yihua transportation equipment, Zoomlion smart industrial town, Sany intelligent heavy truck, and San’an semiconductor projects will begin operation before the end of this year.
