On July 17, Xie Jianhui, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and executive vice governor of Hunan Province, presided over the coordination and promotion meeting of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan provincial key construction projects in Changsha.

In the first half of 2021, 301 provincial key construction projects completed an investment of 261.523 billion yuan, accounting for 62.35% of the annual plan. Among them, the investment in key construction projects in Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan area was 107.744 billion yuan, completing 63.71% of the annual plan.

Xie Jianhui pointed out that promoting the construction of key projects in the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan area is an important lever for implementing the Three Highlands and Four New Missions Strategy and promoting high-quality development. It is an important support for making Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan city cluster a national important growth pole. Xie added that we must have a clear political stance, keep project construction as a major political task in mind, seize golden construction period, and promote the construction of key projects in a safe, high-quality and efficient manner.

Xie Jianhui emphasized that we must strengthen overall coordination, improve the ability to find and solve problems in a timely manner, intensity coordination between provincial departments/central enterprises settled in Hunan and cities, take a holistic approach to ongoing projects and reserve projects, and work together to promote provincial key construction projects, "Ten Major Projects" of respective four categories, and the construction of the 30 major landmark projects for Chang-Zhu-Tan integration.

Xie said that efforts should be made to increase services, strengthen factor guarantees, optimize construction environment, take the initiative to provide quick services, and win over national support. It is necessary to speed up the preliminary progress of projects, and assign responsibilities to units, leaders, and positions according to schedules. Xie continued that we must fulfill duties, persist in the principle of “Those who are in charge of a project assume full responsibility for it”, and implement the responsibilities of local authorities, owners, and departments. A list of problems and responsibilities should be made to strengthen supervision and inspection.
