Xie Jianhui, CPC Hunan Provincial Standing Committee member and executive vice governor, met with Marc Hübsch, Ambassador of Luxembourg to China, and his entourage in Changsha on May 25, 2021.

Executive Vice Governor Xie welcomed the guests. She noted that Hunan Government is implementing the spirit of President Xi Jinping’s important speech made when inspecting Hunan Province and carrying out the “Three Highlands and Four New Missions” Strategy. Hunan’s economy has registered steady growth and society has been stable. The province has strong advantages in steel, construction machinery, electronic information, and other fields. The cooperation between Valin Group and Luxembourg ArcelorMittal has achieved fruitful results. She expected both sides to further exchanges, deepen partnership, and expand collaboration in such fields as green finance and carbon trading.

Ambassador Hübsch extended congratulations on the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and Hunan’s achievements in economic and social progress. He hoped that both parties would strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the fields of steel, finance, and intellectual property.
