On May 17, Xu Dazhe, CPC Hunan Provincial Committee secretary and Hunan Provincial People’s Congress Standing Committee director, and Mao Weiming, CPC Hunan Provincial Committee deputy secretary and Hunan governor, had a discussion with Wang Xiangming, China Resources Group (CR) chairman, and his party in Changsha.

Secretary Xu thanked CR for its long-term support to Hunan province. He marked that in recent years, Hunan’s economic and social development has maintained a good momentum of steady progress. When President Xi Jinping visited Hunan last year, he spoke highly of the effectiveness of various work in Hunan and helped set the goal of building the “Three Highlands” and fulfilling the “Four New Missions”. The whole province, in accordance with his instructions, has implemented the “Three Highlands and Four New Missions” Strategy and strived to build a modern new Hunan. It has become the consensus of all the Hunanese and an ongoing hot practice, which needs the province to deepen communication and cooperation with more powerful enterprises including CR. He said that CR and Hunan has built up a solid collaboration foundation, and the major business sectors are developing well in Hunan. In the next step, Hunan will face major development opportunities such as the national promotion of the high-quality rise of central China, the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and the inclusion of the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan City Cluster construction into the National 14th Five-Year Plan. He expected CR to continue to enhance its cooperation with Hunan in the areas of big consumption, big health, energy services, urban construction and operation, sci-tech, and finance, based on the advantage of Hunan's vast market space, superior transportation conditions, solid industrial foundation, and abundant innovation and opening up vitality, to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
Chairman Wang remarked that CR has continuously increased its investment and project layout in Hunan in recent years, and the cooperation between the two parties has achieved fruitful results. During the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, we will adhere to serving the national strategy, aiming at local needs, and combining our own advantages. We will further partnership with Hunan in such fields as retail, beer, medicine, energy, environmental protection, and urban construction, to make due contributions as a central enterprise to promoting the “Three Highlands and Four New Missions” Strategy.
