From December 12 to 22, Vice Governor He Baoxiang led a delegation to Kenya, Uganda and Angola. He went, on the tour, to promote the first China-Africa Economic and Trade Conference that will be held in Hunan in June 2019. He also talked over project cooperation, and made field research. A broad consensus was reached with relevant departments and enterprises. And fruitful results were achieved.

Vice Governor He and the delegates visited Kenya Minister of Water & Sanitation, and Narok County Chief; Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda, prime minister of Uganda, and Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga, speaker of the Uganda Parliament; and, Angola Minister of Agriculture, Minister of Economy, Governor of Bengo Province and other important officials.
During the meetings, they exchanged ideas on the subjects of water, energy, tourism, agriculture, and comprehensive economic and trade cooperation, which will be talked in the first China-Africa Economic and Trade Conference. A number of cooperation intentions have been reached. After hearing the introduction about the conference, the officials and enterprise representatives showed a keen interest, and expressed strong willingness to participate in the event.

During the tour, Vice Governor He also visited relevant enterprises and projects, including: the "Africa's tallest building" built by the China State Construction Engineering Corporation; Macrolink Group’s Ceramic Tile Factory; Kilimall’s E-commerce Operation Center; Hydropower Station; and the site of Hunan's proposed industrial park. They also held talks with Hunan entrepreneurs in these countries. He said that the founding of the China-Africa Economic and Trade Conference is an important opportunity for Hunan enterprises to "go global" and "bring in". He hoped that they could make good use of this high-quality platform to expand and strengthen business, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
