The Health Commission of Hunan Province held a press conference on July 7, 2021. It announced that, in accordance with the principle of “inoculating all people eligible for vaccination, advancing the vaccination campaign in stages and in a secured way, and ensuring the vaccination efforts in major areas and key industries based on the overall plan of the country”, Hunan government has advanced the COVID-19 vaccination work in an orderly manner.

In less than 60 days, more than 22 million people have been vaccinated with the first and second shots. And the province successfully completed the vaccination goals before the end of June according to the scheduled time. There were accumulatively 52.31 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines administered in Hunan Province as of July 6. It thus helps lay a solid foundation for building an immune barrier for the entire population.
