There were accumulatively 46.97 million people received COVID-19 vaccine in Hunan Province as of 17:00 on June 28, 2021. Of which, 22.44 million were vaccinated two shots, accounting for about one-third of the provincial permanent population. Hunan government has fulfilled the vaccination target before the end of June, as scheduled. This has taken a solid step towards actively building an immune barrier for the entire population.
Under the unified deployment and arrangement of the joint COVID-19 prevention and control mechanism, Hunan government has adhered to the principle of “ensuring all people eligible for vaccination have access to it, advancing vaccination by echelon, focusing on the top priorities, and guaranteeing security”, to promote the COVID-19 vaccination work in an orderly and vigorous manner. Especially since May, governments at all levels have made coordinated planning, scientific dispatching, and precise implementation of policies. In less than 60 days, more than 22 million people have received the second shots.
Next, Hunan government will fully resume administration of the first doses, to meet the needs of the people to the greatest extent. The government will keep providing high-quality, safe, and convenient vaccination services, to finally build a strong immune barrier; curb the spread of COVID-19 epidemic; and, protect the health of the people.
The first shots of COVID-19 vaccine have been restarted across Hunan Province. People who have not yet received the COVID-19 vaccine, and work, live, study, or stay in Hunan Province for other purposes, are encouraged to take the initiative to get vaccinated as soon as possible, and have a Hunan-style “Golden Armor” (Golden Health QR Code).
