The Invitational Exhibition of Traditional Chinese Arts and Crafts officially kicked off at Baoshan International Folk Art Museum, Shanghai on June 12, 2021. It was co-sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism (MOCT) and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. There were 28 intangible cultural heritage works from Hunan Province exhibited. Wang Xiaofeng, MOCT CPC Leadership Group member, and Chen Tong, Shanghai vice mayor, attended the opening ceremony.

Leaders and guests observed the Dong brocade decorative painting “Natural Ecology and Harmonious Symbiosis”.
The exhibited Hunan intangible cultural heritage works cover Liuyang oil-paper umbrella craftsmanship, Liling underglaze-colored porcelain, Hunan embroidery, Dong brocade weaving skill, Tujia brocade weaving skill, Tantou woodblock new year painting, Baoqing bamboo carving, Taoyuan wood carving, Yuezhou fan, and Miao silverware forging techniques. They presented the development of Hunan's traditional handicrafts.
