Exhibition on Poverty Reduction to Open at Hunan Art Museum

An exhibition showcasing Hunan Province’s achievements in poverty alleviation will open at Hunan Art Museum on April 14, according to the Hunan Provincial Poverty Alleviation Office on April 12. The exhibition will demonstrate the province’s practices, remarkable achievements, and valuable experience in eliminating poverty.

The exhibition theme is “targeted poverty alleviation and great changes in Hunan Province”.
There are four parts to:
-review major decisions on targeted poverty relief since the 18th CPC National Congress in 2012;
-showcase Hunan’s initiative efforts in targeted poverty alleviation as the place where the targeted poverty alleviation strategy was initiated;
-demonstrate touching stories and deeds about Party members and cadres, and people from all walks of life;
-display the sense of fulfillment, happiness and security of people who have been lifted out of poverty; and,
-deliver future prospects in the 14th Five-year Plan period, rural vitalization, and construction of a modern new Hunan. 

The exhibition covers more than 2,800 square meters and the exhibition line is more than 600 meters. The exhibition adopts traditional display methods such as pictures, abstracts, videos, and audios, as well as other methods including recreated scenes, electronic charts, cultural relics, art devices, and interaction facilities. The exhibition is a major cultural work that provides teaching materials and examples for Hunan’s Party history education.

The event will last two months. It is hosted by the Publicity Department of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, and the Hunan Provincial Poverty Alleviation Office.

1. Visitors could get a free admission ticket at the entrance of the Hunan Art Museum by showing valid identification certificates, including resident ID card, Exit-Entry Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao, military officer ID card of the PLA, and senior ID card.
2. Visitors could also make an online appointment in advance:
-make an appointment via the official website of Hunan Art Museum or WeChat official account: hnmsg1;
-1-day in advance;
-the number of daily online appointments to be limited to 2,000. It will be limited to 800 during epidemic prevention and control period; and
-make real-name appointment for one time each day.

Duration: April 14-June 11
Opening hours: 9:00-17:00 Monday-Saturday (last entry at 16:30 and closed on Sundays)
             During the May Day holiday this year, it will close on May 2.
Visitors are required to wear a mask during the visit.
