Hunan Presenting 1,134-square-meter Three-dimensional "City Reception Hall"

The 9th China International Import Expo (CIIE) opened in Shanghai on November 5, 2026. More than 1,100 enterprises and over 3,000 professional visitors from Hunan participated in the expo.

A permanent Hunan Pavilion was set up at the CIIE people-to-people exchange exhibition area, themed "Open Hunan, Encountering the World." It has created a 1,134-square-meter three-dimensional "City Reception Hall," weaving together three main narrative threads: landscape and culture, advanced intelligent manufacturing, and opening-up. More than 60 Hunan-based enterprises in fields such as intelligent manufacturing, new energy, new materials, premium export products, time-honored brands, and cultural tourism intangible cultural heritage were showcased collectively.

Inside the pavilion, Hunan embroidery gleams with brilliance, Hunan porcelain exudes antique elegance, and Hunan tea gives off a rich, lingering fragrance. Miao embroidery breathes new life into ancient art, and Hunan brocade showcases fashionable innovation, enabling intangible cultural heritage to find new expression today. The new industrial exhibition area highlights the formidable strength of Hunan manufacturing. Leading enterprises such as CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co., Ltd. are present, with representative products including high-end engineering equipment and Mexican National Railway Pachuca Intercity EMU‌ displayed together. Cutting-edge achievements such as quantum absolute gravimeters, intelligent exoskeleton robots, and MicroOLED micro-displays are showcased collectively. The exhibits cover four major fields: artificial intelligence, green power equipment, life and health, and aerospace products. The pavilion also features live intangible cultural heritage performances, Hunan cuisine tastings, and an exhibition and sales area for quality African products, presenting the profound Hunan cultural heritage and the vitality of two-way opening-up in a single three-dimensional space.

During the CIIE, the Hunan delegation will hold special events such as a roundtable meeting with foreign-funded enterprises, special promotion sessions for key industrial chains, and door-to-door visits to leading enterprises, precisely connecting with high-end sci-tech innovation resources and industrial capital in the Yangtze River Delta.

The exhibition area of the 9th CIIE exceeded 440,000 square meters for the first time, attracting 4,142 overseas exhibitors from 162 countries, regions, as well as international organizations, with both the scale of participation and the level of internationalization reaching new highs.
