On October 26, Liu Yang, vice governor of the People's Government of Hunan Province, met in Changsha with a delegation of senior officials from the Mongolian Civil Will-Green Party. The delegation was led by Batyn Batbaatar, chairman of Civil Will–Green Party of Mongolia and member of the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia.
Vice Governor Liu welcomed the guests and briefed them on the status of Hunan Province. He noted that although Hunan and Mongolia are thousands of miles apart, their people share cultural affinity and close bonds. In recent years, the two sides have continued to deepen and substantiate exchanges and cooperation, forming a sound pattern of economic and trade complementarity, industrial alignment, and cultural and tourism interaction. He expressed the hope that both sides will further strengthen exchanges and collaboration in such areas as mining and energy, ecological environment, and culture, tourism, and people-to-people ties, and promote more projects to be implemented and take effect, making greater contributions to enhancing China-Mongolia friendship.
Chairman Batbaatar spoke highly of Hunan's development achievements in recent years. He expressed the expectation to further pragmatic cooperation with Hunan in areas such as environmental protection, natural resource development and utilization, education and people-to-people ties, and tourism development, so as to achieve mutual benefit and common development for both places.
