On October 21, a matchmaking conference for advanced manufacturing cooperation between Hunan and Germany was held in Changsha. Focusing on such fields as intelligent manufacturing, automotive components, green energy, and medical devices, Hunan's industrial parks and zones, as well as enterprises conducted targeted on-site matchmaking with German enterprises, accelerating the construction of an open system of "German technology + Hunan manufacturing + global market." The meeting is an important parallel event of the 3rd Hunan Fair for Trade & Investment & International Chambers of Commerce Hunan Tour.

Participants included representatives from official institutions and federal state representative offices such as the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Guangzhou (AHK Guangzhou), AHK Greater China, the German Chamber of Commerce in China, and Germany Trade & Invest (GTAI). Also present were over 40 representatives from 28 German enterprises and institutions, including Valin ArcelorMittal Automotive Steel Co., Ltd. (VAMA), Bosch Automotive Products (Changsha) Co. Ltd., Schaeffler (Xiangtan) Co., Ltd., BASF Shanshan Battery Materials Co., Ltd. (BASF Shanshan), and Messer Group.

AHK Guangzhou Chief Representative Lu Yang stated that AHK will play a bridging role in deepening collaboration between German enterprises and Hunan in such fields as advanced manufacturing, green and low-carbon development, and technological innovation, achieving mutual benefit and win-win results.

At the conference, DB Cargo Transasia International Freight Forwarding (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and Hunan Central South China International Land Port Co., Ltd. signed a cooperation agreement. The two sides will collaborate in areas such as international freight forwarding, China-Europe freight train service, and multimodal transport, helping Hunan enterprises expand into the European market. This marks the extension of Hunan's partnership with Germany from industrial matchmaking to logistics channels and supply chain collaboration.

Yang Aiyun, chairperson of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Hunan Sub-council, noted that Hunan and Germany have strong industrial complementarity and broad prospects for cooperation. She expressed the hope that this matchmaking conference will serve as an opportunity to encourage more German "hidden champions" and small and medium-sized enterprises to come to and invest in Hunan. This will help Hunan's advantageous industries connect with German technology and expand into the global market.
