On July 12, a batch of nucleic acid testing kits for 5 coronavirus variants produced by Sansure Biotech Inc. were exported to Africa’s Algeria to aid the fight against the epidemic, after the Xingsha Customs, a subsidiary of Changsha Customs handled the formalities of customs declaration and examination. This is the first time Hunan has exported such testing kits.

According to the person in charge of the Sansure Biotech Inc., there were a total of 1,008 testing kits worth 48,000 yuan. The testing kit can identify whether patients were variants cases, caused by five coronavirus variants, such as B.1.1.7.

In order to support the smooth export of the testing kits, the Changsha Customs instructed enterprises in obtaining foreign standard certification and medical supplies export statement, and the entry into the anti-pandemic supplies export whitelist of the Ministry of Commerce. Dedicated personnel were arranged to manufacturing enterprises to pay close attention to export needs. When the biosafety situation is under control, the customs inspection-as-you-go model will be implemented to facilitate customs clearance.
