Hunan, Jiangxi, and Hubei Jointly Issue Cultural Travel Cards

Hunan, Jiangxi, and Hubei provinces will join hands to boost cultural tourism consumption. On the morning of April 8, the 2021 Cultural Tourism Consumption Season kicked off in Changsha. The Hunan-Hubei-Jiangxi Cultural Travel Card was launched simultaneously. Xie Weijiang, vice governor of Hunan Province, attended and presented the travel cards to representatives of outstanding Party members and COVID-19 medics.

Ji Xinquan, deputy secretary general of the Hunan Provincial People’s Government, participated.

Hunan, Hubei, and Jiangxi provinces are connected by the same mountains and rivers. The three provinces are very close to each other in terms of geographical location and cultural background. In recent years, Hunan, Hubei, and Jiangxi has strengthened cultural tourism exchanges and cooperation.

The annual card is priced at 99 yuan, with an accumulative value exceeding 3,000 yuan. Cardholders can enjoy unlimited visits to designated scenic spots and preferential prices at certain hotels, B&Bs, and catering businesses in nine counties (districts). 

Psychical and digital cards are both available. Internet of Things and Internet technologies are adopted to facilitate tourists in booking tickets, making reservation, and checking in.

In 2021, it is estimated to stimulate consumption of 600 million yuan. It will inject strong impetus into rural vitalization, regional development, and consumption boom.

Four travel routes were announced at the launching ceremony, including red or revolutionary experience tour, cultural inheritance tour, healthcare tour, and food & shopping tour.

The event was under the guidance of the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, Jiangxi Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, Hubei Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and Changsha Municipal People’s Government. It was organized by the Liuyang City  People’s Government.
