On January 25, the first day of the Chinese lunar New Year, a 137-member medical team set up by the Hunan Provincial Health Commission left for Hubei, where Wuhan, the center of the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) outbreak, is located, to provide medical aid. The medical team was led by Gao Jiping, director of the Hunan Provincial Health Trade Union. It has 43 doctors and 93 nursing staff, who are all from tertiary hospitals in Zhuzhou and Hengyang.
