January 24 marked the 2020 Chinese Lunar New Year’s Eve. In the morning, Du Jiahao, CPC Hunan Provincial Committee secretary, and Xu Dazhe, CPC Hunan Provincial Committee deputy secretary and Hunan governor, went to the Changsha Expressway Toll Station and the Public Security Department of Hunan Province. They made the tour to visit frontline workers who remained at their posts during the Spring Festival and inspect the current work on dealing with the novel coronavirus-related pneumonia.

Secretary Du called for implementing the spirit of President Xi Jinping’s important instructions and the decisions and arrangements made by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council; making all out efforts across the province to collaborate in major battles; and, giving full play to the CPC’s strong leadership and the advantages of Chinese socialist system to concentrate on major issues.

We should mobilize and gather wisdom and strength of all parties in Hunan province, to resolutely win the tough and vicious battle of epidemic prevention and control. We should ensure the health and safety of the public, and the stability of the entire society. The CPC members and cadres at all levels should work hard for family reunion and happiness of the people, he added.
