At around 4:00 PM on March 17, a 22-member Singaporean tour group arrived at Huiyanfeng Square in Hengyang, embarking on a three-day and two-night journey.
This marks the second Singaporean tour group to travel to Hengyang since the Hunan Provincial Tourism Development Conference that was held in September 2024. The Hunan Overseas Travel Service Hengyang Branch provides services for the tour group. According to Hu Qingguo, chairman of the Hengyang Branch, the group primarily consists of middle-aged and elderly tourists over 50 years old. They are expected to arrive in two groups, with the second group set to begin their journey on March 19. Their itinerary includes visits to iconic attractions such as Huiyan Peak, Hengshan Mountain, the Nanyueli Food Culture Block, the Baoweili Cultural and Creative Block, and the Xiangjian-Jianxiang Industrial Culture Block, allowing them to fully experience the charm of Hengyang.
That afternoon, the Huiyan Peak Scenic Area specially arranged immersive experience activities such as zither (guzheng) performances and interactions with cast-members. To ensure smooth travel for visitors, the scenic area also prepared wheelchairs for elderly tourists with limited mobility. "The scenery is beautiful, and the service is even more touching," praised a tourist named Sun Amei, who gave a thumbs-up to the thoughtful arrangements.
Since last year's tourism development conference, Hengyang has seen a continuous rise in inbound tourism, with significant growth in visitors from Southeast Asian countries like Singapore and Malaysia. Following this tour group, Hengyang is set to welcome more international travelers, including groups from South Korea, further highlighting its growing cultural and tourism appeal.
