How to make a hotel reservation and check in?

Foreign travelers can book hotels online via Trip.com (through its website or app, or the Alipay mini program TripHotels), HopeGoo.com (through its website or app, or the Alipay mini program HopeGoo) and other Internet platforms and pay directly using international bank cards, or make reservations by phone or other means.

(i) Foreign travelers planning to stay at hotels must present passport, Foreign Permanent Resident ID Card, or any other valid identity document when checking in at the hotel front desk.

(ii) Payment options at hotels include RMB cash, bank cards, Alipay, and WeChat Pay. If you wish to pay with bank cards, please confirm in advance whether Mastercard, Visa, or other international cards are accepted. Some hotels also accept payment options like Apple Pay and PayPal. If you wish to use those, please confirm in advance.
