How to exchange foreign currencies for RMB?

(i) Visitors from abroad can exchange foreign currencies for RMB cash in relevant countries or regions before arriving in China (Each visitor is allowed to carry up to RMB 20,000 in cash when entering or leaving China each time).

(ii) Overseas visitors can exchange foreign currencies for RMB cash at commercial bank outlets, authorized money changers, and self-service currency exchange machines located at international airports, land and sea ports, and other entry points, as well as other places of China marked with currency exchange signs. Additionally, RMB cash can be withdrawn from ATMs using international bank cards.
