Q: Can we ride subway and maglev trains in Changsha via WeChat? And how?

A: Starting from July 29, 2024, passengers can scan a WeChat QR code to ride the subway and the Changsha Maglev Express Line in Changsha. The subway-riding QR code can be obtained free of charge through the WeChat mini program "City Pass [城市通]". 

The procedures are as follows:

Step 1: Search the WeChat mini program "City Pass [城市通]" 

Step 2: Enter the mini program and click "Obtain a QR Code [开通乘车码]" 

Step 3: Enter a page saying agreement on payment without password and click "Obtain [开通]"

Step 4: A QR code pops up. And passengers can scan the code to ride subway and maglev trains.
