17 New Destinations Added for Winter Aviation Season

An event to promote aviation-tourism cooperation between the Hunan Airport Group and the Hunan Tourism Group, was held in Changsha on November 6. A new plan for the 2024 winter aviation season was released at the same time. 


According to the event, Hunan's airports have entered the winter aviation season. During this season, new or resumed air routes will align with the tourism market, providing more options to travelers.

Specifically, in this aviation season, Changsha airport will operate flights to 15 international and regional destinations, including Nairobi, London, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Seoul, and Tokyo; and, Zhangjiajie airport will handle flights to 10 cities, including Seoul, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, and Jakarta.


Domestically, Changsha airport will add air routes to 17 tourist cities, such as Guizhou's Zunyi, Shaanxi's Yan'an, Xinjiang's Hetian, and Xizang's Linzhi. The frequency of the Hunan-Sichuan and Hunan-Hainan flights will be increased to 23 flights per day.


In addition, Hunan's airports will roll out series of preferential policies for qualified air-rail intermodal transport and transfer passengers, including free accommodation in Howard Johnson and VOCO hotels; free rides of maglev train; free luggage storage; direct luggage transfer service; and, free rides of the shuttle bus between Changsha airport and Bailian Outlets Plaza. The Hunan Airport Group also collaborated with the China Southern Airlines to provide discounted tickets and other preferential services for the air-rail intermodal transport passengers.
