With the sound of a whistle, a rail-sea intermodal freight train "Liling" departed from the Liling South Railway Station at 11:50 on August 28. The train was fully loaded with Liling ceramics. The goods would be transported to a wharf via a dedicated line linking Pinghunan and Yantian Port after arriving at the Pinghunan Railway Station. From there, the goods would be shipped to European and American countries.
Liling boasts more than 1,500 upstream and downstream firms in the ceramic industrial chain, reaching countries such as France and Finland. Hunan porcelain, represented by Liling porcelain, is integrating into Chinese and western cultures, serving as a link of friendship. Firms choose to transport their ceramic products via the rail-sea intermodal train service because it has the advantages of shorter transportation time and lower logistics costs. The "Liling" freight train traveled about 19 hours before reaching the Pinghunan Railway Station, effectively reducing damage during transportation of ceramic products and ensuring timely delivery.
