The bidding for the franchise project of Changsha-Anhua section along the Changsha-Jishou Expressway was completed recently, according to the Hunan Provincial Department of Transportation. The project will start construction soon. Upon completion, the expressway will greatly shorten the driving time between Changsha and Anhua.

The Changsha-Anhua section starts from Xiangbiwo in Xiangjiang New Area, passes through Batang, Dachengqiao, and Shuangfupu towns, runs westwards and crosses over the S71 Huarong-Changning Expressway at Hengshi Town, then passes through Huangcai Town, Shatian Township, and Xiangzikou Town to the border area of Anhua County, and ends at Meicheng Town in Anhua County via Dongshan Township and connects with G55 Erenhot–Guangzhou Expressway. The Changsha-Anhua section is 123.208 km long.

The Changsha-Jishou Expressway is a primary east-west channel in Hunan Province. With a total investment of about 25.6 billion CNY, the expressway project is developed in the form of BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer). Upon completion, the project will facilitate regional economic exchanges and people's travel, as well as promote industrial development and urbanization of areas along the line.
