The Changsha Metro Line 1 North Extension Phase I opened to traffic on June 28, 2024.

This section starts from Kaifu District Government Station in the south, stretching along Furong North Road to Shahe Parking Lot in the north. Five stations are set up along the 9.88-kilometer section. Among them, Jinpenqiu and Jinxia are elevated stations, and Eyangshan, Xiufengshan, Sulongqiao stations are underground.
