Yuhu Park covers a total area of over 1,300 mu (about 86.67 hectares). It is a green belt area in Changsha's urban planning and an important ecological corridor connecting the Wushan water source to the Xiangjiang river system.

The park boasts luxuriant vegetation, with green land and water area constituting more than 85% of its total area. Several functional areas featuring themed leisure, forest sports and colorful flowers have been created, making the park a "poetic habitat" for residents to go on spring outings and relax themselves.
