Foreign Businessmen Give Thumbs up to Yueyang

An overseas delegation of more than 20 businessmen from Uzbekistan and Mongolia visited the Nanhu New District, Yueyang City on November 18.

At the Chinese Giant Panda Garden, the overseas guests observed giant pandas up close, learning about their living habits, interacting with these adorable creatures, and capturing delightful moments through their lenses.

"We don't have giant pandas in our country. The pandas here are so cute, and I'll invite all my friends to come," a visitor from Uzbekistan said excitedly.

At the picturesque Dongting Lake Town, winding flagstone paths meander through clusters of buildings, and distinctive homestays and restaurants nestle amidst lush greenery. The guests were attracted, stopping to capture the beautiful scenery with their lens.

"The scenery here is beautiful, and the local people are warm and hospitable. I will definitely bring my team to Nanhu Lake and the Dongting Lake Town in the future," a business guest from Mongolia remarked happily.

At the Intangible Cultural Heritage Craftsmanship Exhibition Hall, the guests appreciated Yuezhou paper cutting and tried their hands at creating paper-cutting works, and experienced joy of Chinese shadow puppetry. Through these up-close experiences of intangible cultural heritage, they felt the cultural charm of Yuezhou, the ancient name for Yueyang. "The exhibition hall is fantastic. Visitors can get a hands-on experience of the local culture," said the Mongolian guest.

The Dongting Lake Town is home to dozens of intangible cultural heritage items, including Yuezhou paper-cutting, Yuezhou kiln, Han embroidery, Chuanshan writing brushes, and Yuezhou fans. It is dedicated to building a landmark for display, experience, and inheritance of traditional craftsmanship.
