Youth Representatives Explore Charming Changsha

On the afternoon of September 23, youth representatives attending the 2024 International Youth Forum on Creativity and Heritage Along the Silk Roads in Changsha, representatives of member cities of the Creative Cities Network, and young volunteers visited the Changsha Jiandu Museum, Orange Isle, and Changsha Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Hall to experience the charm of Changsha's traditional culture and learn about the city's history.

An art exhibition featuring calligraphy and sculptures from the Northern Dynasties (386 -581) is currently being held at the Changsha Jiandu Museum. The calligraphic works and sculptures on display drew everyone's attention.

A youth representative shared that he not only had the opportunity to learn about Changsha's traditional culture but also made many new friends through his interactions. "I saw a lot of things, and when I return home, I can introduce Chinese culture and history to people in my hometown, and even teach them calligraphy," he added.

On Orange Isle, youth representatives eagerly gathered to take photos with the Statue of Young Mao Zedong, recording the unforgettable moment. Some of them could even recite Tune: Spring in a Pleasure Garden — Changsha, a poem by Chairman Mao.
