Ⅰ. About CCSU
Founded in 1970, Changsha University (CCSU) is a public university jointly established by the provincial and municipal governments, and is mainly administered by the latter. CCSU is the national "13th Five-Year Plan" application-oriented undergraduate university for industry-education integration project; national demonstration base for practical education, innovation and entrepreneurship; and provincial "Double First-Class" high-level application-featured university. CCSU has 16 colleges, 51 bachelor’s degree programs, and 3 master’s degree programs including electronic information; biology & medicine; and theater, film & television, covering 13 areas of artificial intelligence (AI); pharmaceutics; audio & video production; etc. CCSU has 1,260+ staff, of which 430+ are professors and 520+ have doctorate degrees. CCSU now has 18,000+ Chinese students and 200+ international students.

Ⅲ.Scholarship
To attract international students, the university has established a CCSU scholarship, covering tuition, dormitory fees, textbook fees and basic insurance fees. The dormitory is a four-person room on campus. Students are responsible for their own living expenses and other costs.
Ⅳ. Eligibility of Applicants
1. Non-Chinese applicants who are physically and mentally healthy, with no record of misconduct, and being aged 18 years or above.
2. Applicants for the bachelor’s program must have a high school diploma or above, and be no older than 25 years old;
Applicants for the master’s program must have a bachelor’s degree, and be no older than 35 years old;
Applicants for the foundation program must have a high school diploma or above, and be no older than 50 years old.

Ⅵ. Application materials and requirements
for foundation program (Chinese)
1. Resume (in both Chinese and English);
2. Scanned copy of non-criminal record issued by police station, foreign affairs department in your country of origin or habitual residence. As no criminal record is valid for 6 months, applicants are requested to provide no criminal record after February 2026;
3. Scanned copy of notarized diploma or certificate of expected graduation of the highest degree attained in Chinese or English;
4. Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form (see attached). The form needs to be filled in English, and the applicant keeps the original copy for future visa application. The health examination must cover all the items listed in the Physical Examination Record for Foreigner. Incomplete records or those without signature of attending physician, official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid. The health examination results will be valid for 6 months. Applicants are requested to provide Foreigner Physical Examination Form after February 2026.

7. Chinese language proficiency (HSK 4 for bachelor’s program; HSK 5 for master’s program)
8. Research proposal in Chinese (≥500 words for bachelor’s program; ≥ 800 words for master’s program)
9. Video self-introduction in Chinese (≈2 minutes; content: educational background, research plan, expection of study, etc.)
10. 2 recommendation letters from professors or associate professors (only required for applicants for master’s programs)
