On October 31, the representatives from 16 overseas Chinese media outlets across 13 countries, who came to attend the 2024 Overseas Chinese Media Executives' Changsha Tour, visited SANY Group in Changsha. They conducted an on-site investigation into the new progress, changes, and business modes of the construction machinery industry in China.
"It's marvelous! China's construction machinery is booming in the global market," said Jin Hao, editor-in-chief of the West Africa Chinese Voice newspaper.

In recent years, China's construction machinery enterprises have been making vigorous efforts to "go global", performing brilliantly in the overseas market. Data showed that, in the first half of 2024, China's construction machinery import and export trade amounted to 27.134 billion USD, of which 25.837 billion USD in export.
Meanwhile, China's construction machinery enterprises have shifted their focus from exporting products to a 'go global' strategy. They are increasingly integrating into local overseas markets. By setting up overseas production bases, R&D centers, and service organizations, the enterprises have enhanced localization and explored appropriate paths for internationalization.
Infrastructure construction is in the ascendant in Africa. Chinese construction machinery enterprises made investment and set up factories in African countries, and helped train local workers to improve the capacity of equipment manufacturing and project management of these countries. As one of the earliest Chinese construction machinery enterprises to enter the African market, SANY Group takes Africa as an important market in its globalization strategy.
So far, SANY Group has set up 15 subsidiaries and a number of permanent branches in more than 30 African countries. More than 50% employees are local. Beyond that, it has 13 high-quality agents, offering its equipment to more than 50 countries and regions in Africa.
In 2023, SANY's South African headquarters broke ground in Johannesburg, with a total investment of 300 million rand (about 115 million CNY). As a regional center of manufacturing, logistics, and talent, it will be capable of producing 3,000 excavators and other equipment annually, providing service coverage across the entire African continent.
