Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of Hunan Province, inspected preparations for the 11th Global Forum for Hunan Entrepreneurs in Huaihua City on June 18, 2024. He asked to thoroughly implement the spirit of President Xi Jinping's important speeches and instructions made during his inspection tours in Hunan, highlighting the theme of "new lead, new hub, and new chapter". He called for hosting a high standard, high quality, and high level session, writing a new chapter of Huaihua's image, and continuing to enhance the forum's strengths in platform support, industrial agglomeration, and regional radiation.

The 11th Global Forum for Hunan Entrepreneurs will be held in Huaihua City in mid-September. Governor Mao fully affirmed the preparatory work of the city. He remarked that the relevant departments of the province and the city have been proactive in their arrangements, ensuring orderly progress and effectively generating enthusiasm for the event. Between January and May this year, Huaihua has introduced 159 new projects invested by Hunan-born entrepreneurs, with a total investment of 52.19 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 43.2% and 40.6% respectively.

Governor Mao listened to the report on the preparations for the 11th Global Forum for Hunan Entrepreneurs.

Governor Mao noted that it was the first time for a western Hunan city to host the forum. It was an important platform to build Hunan into a pacesetter for reform and opening-up in China's inland regions, and an important carrier to promote the coordinated development of the Wuling mountainous area. He asked to refine our approach to enhance the brand, identify key points to implement effective measures, and strengthen synergies to ensure the successful hosting of a high-quality event.
