The Changsha Symphony Orchestra will make debut performances in the Republic of Serbia and Montenegro from September 7 to 14, 2024.

The Changsha Symphony Orchestra is a calling card of international cultural exchanges in Hunan. It has staged performances in various countries such as the United States, Germany, and Russia since its establishment, wining wide recognition.

The Changsha Symphony Orchestra will hold concerts in Belgrade, capital of Serbia; Banja Koviljaca, a city of art in Serbia; Podgorica, capital of Montenegro; and Kotor, a coastal city in Montenegro. The art troupe has meticulously prepared nearly 20 pieces of music with Chinese and Hunan characteristics, including "Blooming Flowers and Full Moon (Perfect Conjugal Bliss)", "Ode to the Yellow River", "Jasmine Flower", "Liu Hai Cuts Firewood", and "Liuyang River".

Besides the four above-mentioned special concerts, the Changsha Symphony Orchestra will visit Serbia's Union Nikola Tesla University, the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Chinese Embassy in Montenegro, and participate in Montenegro's KotorArt International Festival, to discuss about the Changsha Summit of Urban Symphony Orchestras and international cooperation among orchestras.

The event is under the guidance of the Hunan Performance Arts Group, hosted by the Changsha Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio, and Television, and organized by the Changsha Symphony Orchestra.
