Tips for Visiting Third China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo

Dear citizens,


The Third China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo (CAETE) is being held at the Changsha International Convention and Exhibition Center from June 29 to July 2, 2023. If you are planning to visit the exhibition, you may be wondering whether it is free to visit the exhibition and how to buy goodies from Africa. Please check the following reservation tips offered by the organizing committee.


1. Opening Hours


9:00 - 17:30, July 1 (Saturday)
9:00 – 16:00, July 2 (Sunday)


2. Reservation Channels

The public can make free reservations before visiting the exhibition, either online or on-site.


1) Online reservation

The online reservation channels are available from 9:00 on June 20 until 18:00 on July 1. Reservations must be made one day in advance, with a daily limit of 20,000 visitors.

There are three ways to make a reservation online:


- Visit the official CAETE website at https://www.caetexpo.org.cn and click the "public exhibition appointment entrance" to make a reservation. Select the "Appointment Date", check the "Visitor Information", and click "Book Now". Please check the reservation information on the "Personal Center" after a successful appointment.



- Search the CAETE WeChat public account, and click "预约观展 (Appointment)" to make a reservation.



Select the "Appointment Date", check the "Visitor Information", and click "Book Now". Then you can check the reservation information on the "Personal Center" after the reservation is successfully made.



- Download the "Xiang Yi Ban" APP from the mobile APP store, register, log in, and select "3rd CAETE" on the home page to make an appointment.



2) On-site reservation

Those visitors without advance reservations can still make reservations on site at the North Square of the Changsha International Convention and Exhibition Center. Visitors should scan the QR code to make a reservation and enter using facial recognition and an ID card after a successful reservation. The daily limit is 5,000 people.


3. Important reminders

1) Due to the large exhibition area and in order to ensure a good viewing experience, admission will be closed one hour before the daily closing time. Please plan your viewing time accordingly. Please follow the guidance of the staff on site as temporary flow restriction measures may be taken during the peak periods.

2) It is forbidden to bring flammable, explosive, toxic and other dangerous items into the exhibition area. Please comply with the on-site security regulations and cooperate with the security personnel.

3) During the visit, please keep moving and avoid gathering. Please observe public order, maintain civilized manners, and refrain from touching or moving exhibits without permission.

If you need help, please consult the on-site volunteers, who are dressed in uniform and will be happy to assist you.


4. Introduction to the Pavilions

The 2023 CAETE main venue consists of a comprehensive pavilion, an African enterprise and commodity pavilion, a Chinese enterprise and commodity pavilion, a Chinese provincial, regional, and municipal pavilion, a domestic and foreign trade integration pavilion, and an outdoor exhibition area.

Comprehensive Exhibition Hall (Hall W1): achievements of China-Africa high-quality efforts in implementing the "Belt and Road" Initiative; exhibition of the achievements of China-Africa women's innovation and entrepreneurship; image exhibition of the guest countries of honor; image exhibition of the theme provinces; and, image exhibition of central enterprises.

African Enterprises and Commodities Pavilion (Hall W2): African brand commodities, special food and agricultural products, consumer goods, and services such as cultural tourism and finance.

Chinese Enterprises and Commodities Pavilion (Hall W3): with the focus on remanufacturing; health; consumer electronics; culture, sports, and tourism; agriculture; auto parts; food and agricultural products; light industrial and daily necessities; mechanical and electrical products; mining industrial chain; and, service trade.

Chinese Enterprises and Commodities Pavilion (Hall E1): with the focus on medical equipment; passenger cars and auto parts; apparel, shoes, hats, and textiles; cosmetics and luxury goods; digital products; home appliances; outdoor and sporting goods; overseas travel services; and, other civil and consumer link products and services.

Chinese Provincial, Regional, and Municipal Pavilion (Hall E2): showcasing the overall image of Chinese provinces, regions, and municipalities; economic and trade cooperation achievements between China and African countries; and, key enterprises.

Domestic and Foreign Trade Integration Pavilion (Hall E3): special zones for domestic and foreign trade integration of cotton textile; domestic and foreign trade integration of Hunan Province; Hunan cities and prefecture exhibition area; industrial park exhibition area; service trade exhibition area; and, various key industry exhibition areas.

Outdoor Exhibition Area: with the focus on engineering, mining and agricultural machinery, as well as assembly-type construction and commercial vehicles.


5. Travel Tips


For visitors in Changsha City:

Metro Line: Take Line 2 or Line 4 and get off at Exit 4 of the Guangda Station, and walk 400 meters to the Changsha International Convention and Exhibition Center.

Bus Line: Take bus No. 220, X105, X112, or X123 and get off at the Changsha International Convention and Exhibition Center station; or take bus No. 263 and get off at the Huangxing Bridge East station.

Driving: Navigate to the West Square Parking Lot of the Changsha International Convention and Exhibition Center.




For visitors from outside Hunan Province:

By high-speed rail: Take Metro Line 2 or Line 4 at the Changsha High-speed Railway South Station, get off at Exit 4 of the Guangda Station, and walk 400 meters to the Changsha International Convention and Exhibition Center.

By plane: Take the Changsha Maglev Express Line at the Changsha Huanghua International Airport to the Changsha High-speed Railway South Station, transfer to Metro Line 2 or Line 4, get off at Exit 4 of the Guangda Station, and walk 400 meters to the Changsha International Convention and Exhibition Center.

By train: Take Metro Line 2 at the Changsha Railway Station, get off at Exit 4 of the Guangda Station, and walk 400 meters to the Changsha International Convention and Exhibition Center.

Driving: Navigate to the West Square Parking Lot of the Changsha International Convention and Exhibition Center.
