The China Southern Airlines (CZ) and the Kenya Airways (KQ) have recently renewed an interline agreement, allowing CZ flight passengers to enjoy seamless connections to 40 African destinations via Nairobi, the capital of Kenya.
Hence, CZ flight passengers taking a round trip between Changsha and Nairobi can now connect to such African cities as Mombasa, Freetown, Johannesburg, Kigali, Dar es Salaam, and Entebbe with same-day transit. Same-day transit is available for Changsha-Nairobi flights to Kinshasa and Lubumbashi, while return flights offer same-day transit to Addis Ababa.
Passengers with CZ and KQ connected tickets can obtain boarding passes and baggage tags for both flights at the departure airport, using a single ticket for outbound travel. Inbound passengers can request for their baggage to be checked through to Changsha, the point of entry so that they may enjoy easier connections via the Nairobi Airport. The availability of the service is subject to the check-in counters of the departure airport.
Beyond that, the Changsha Huanghua International Airport provides the connecting passengers who fly to and from Africa via Changsha with a series of preferential services, such as free accommodation and catering.
