A promotion conference for the 2nd Global Economic Development and Security Forum of the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) was held in Hong Kong on May 29. It was hosted by the BFA and the People's Government of Hunan Province. Li Baodong, secretary general of the BFA; John Lee Ka-chiu, chief executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region; Zhou Haibing, vice governor of Hunan Province; Jonathan Choi Koon-shum, chairman of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong; and, Andy Tsang Wai-hung, chairman of the BFA Global Economic Development and Security Forum, attended and delivered speeches. Peng Huasong, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee and executive vice mayor of Changsha City, made a presentation on Changsha City. Kang Zhenlin, vice mayor of Changsha City and chairman of the Changsha Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce, attended.
The 2nd BFA Global Economic Development and Security Forum will take place in Changsha in October 2023. Focusing on the two keywords of "global development" and "shared security", the forum will organize high-level, in-depth and multi-field discussions on 16 hot topics, including world economic rebalancing, "neglected" debt, and globalization.
