Provincial Leaders Visit Hunan Media Members Reporting National “Two Sessions”

On the afternoon of March 9, Zhang Qingwei, head of the Hunan delegation to the fifth session of the 13th National People’s Congress (NPC), visited the journalists accompanying the delegation in Beijing. He communicated with Hunan media members reporting the national annual sessions in Beijing and Changsha via video connection, and extended sincere greetings to all the journalists.

He encouraged everyone to stay true to the original aspiration and mission; shoulder heavy responsibilities and forge ahead; and, work hard and move forward for a better future.

He asked them to be more committed to news publicity and reporting, and consolidating and strengthening mainstream public opinion. This was to prepare for the Party’s 20th National Congress with pragmatic achievements. Mao Weiming, deputy head of the Hunan delegation, attended and delivered a speech.

Wang Shuangquan and Li Dianxun, deputy heads of the delegation, who were present at the national two sessions, attended the meeting at the resident venue of the delegation in Beijing. Yang Haodong, a member of the Standing Committee and director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, attended the event at the Changsha sub-venue. Liu Lianyu, deputy head of the delegation, presided over the meeting in Beijing.
