On the morning of March 13, a conference on conveying and learning the spirit of the national NPC and CPPCC annual sessions 2022 was held in Changsha. Zhang Qingwei, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and director of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People's Congress, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech. He asked to implement the spirits of President Xi Jinping's important speeches and the “two sessions”, and further unify thinking, clarify direction, strengthen confidence, and forge ahead courageously. We should concentrate on running Hunan's own affairs well, and take practical actions to welcome the successful convening of the 20th CPC National Congress, he added.

Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of Hunan Province; Li Weiwei, chairwoman of the CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee; and, Zhu Guoxian, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, attended.

The meeting conveyed the spirits of President Xi Jinping's important speeches, and Wang Qishan, Hu Chunhua, and other central government leaders’ speeches made when they participated in the deliberation with deputies of Hunan delegation. It also publicized the spirits of the fifth session of the 13th NPC and the spirit of the fifth session of the 13th CPPCC National Committee.

Provincial leaders Wang Shuangquan, Li Dianxun, Wu Guiying, Sui Zhongcheng, Xie Weijiang, Yang Haodong, Zhang Yingchun, Nan Xiaogang, and Liu Lianyu were present.

The meeting was held via video connection. Deputy directors of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People's Congress; vice governors of the People’s Government of Hunan Province; vice chairpersons of the CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee; president of the Hunan Provincial Higher People's Court, and chief procurator of the Hunan Provincial People's Procuratorate attended the meeting at the main venue. Each city and county has sub venues.
