Li Weiwei and some Hunan-based members of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), returned to Changsha by plane on the afternoon of March 10, 2022. The Hunan-based CPPCC National Committee members have written and submitted proposals in a timely manner, since China’s top political advisory body started its annual session in 2022. They actively made consultations and suggestions, and discussed the national affairs, focusing on high-quality economic development, rural revitalization strategy implementation, ecological environmental protection, food security, and “double reduction” policy implementation. Statistics shows that they have submitted a total of 147 proposals.
Li Weiwei, a Hunan-based member of the CPPCC National Committee and chairwoman of the CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee, was the first proposer. Chen Jiwa, He Baoxiang, Huang Lanxiang, Zhang Jian, Liu Muren, and other Hunan and Guangxi-based members of the CPPCC National Committee jointly submitted the proposal. They called for speeding up construction of the Huaihua-Guilin Railway and supporting the development of ethnic areas.
During the session, Zhan Chunxin, a Hunan-based member of the CPPCC National Committee, walked into the “CPPCC members’ passage” to share with the world the practice, achievements, and experience of Zoomlion's active integration into the "Belt and Road" initiative in recent years. Some Hunan-based members of the CPPCC National Committee also held video calls with foreign netizens, making Hunan's voice heard and showing Hunan's charm to the world.
