Mauritius is rich in fishery resources and tuna. However, its economy is dominated by sugar production and agricultural export and processing.

Seesaghur Hans Nibshan: This is my tenth visit to Hunan. Every time I come to Hunan, there are new surprises. Mauritius's specialty sugar exports have seen sound momentum and are expected to grow substantially this year. We hope pineapple, tuna and other products can enter the Chinese market through Hunan. As an old Chinese saying goes,"Seeing is believing". Chinese entrepreneurs are welcomed to visit Mauritius more often and work together to strengthen bilateral economic and trade cooperation.
