From May 9 to 10, CPC Central Committee United Front Work Department Head Sun Chunlan paid an inspection tour to Hunan. She stressed, “Efforts should be made to put into practice the principles stated in General Secretary Xi Jinping's major addresses and his new vision, thinking, and strategies for China's governance. And it is important to ensure the success of leadership transition of democratic parties and federation of industry and commerce.” She urged Hunan to innovate network united front work and strengthen ideological guidance to united front members, so as to pave the way for the 19th National Party Congress.

CPC Hunan Provincial Committee Secretary Du Jiahao and Hunan Governor Xu Dazhe accompanied Sun on the tour.
