The 4th Hunan International Green Development Expo opened in Changsha on July 28, 2023. The 2023 Hunan Provincial Green Industry Investment Projects Brochure was released to the public at the Hunan Province Green and Low-carbon Industry Development Forum, a major event of the expo.

This year, Hunan has developed 156 provincial-level green industry projects with a total investment of 511.911 billion yuan. They mainly involved six major areas of energy conservation and carbon reduction, environmental protection, utilization of recycled resources, clean energy, ecological protection, restoration and utilization, and green infrastructure upgrading. The projects covered such key industries as new energy vehicles, industrial hazardous waste treatment and prevention equipment manufacturing, power battery recycling, and new energy equipment manufacturing.

A person in charge of the Department of Commerce of Hunan Province introduced that green investment will empower green industries and promote enterprises in the field of green and low-carbon industries to establish their presence in Hunan and carry out targeted cooperation.
