An art exhibition of creations by Chinese artist Qi Baishi opened at the Changsha Museum of Art on September 12.

The exhibition was sponsored by the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee Publicity Department, Changsha Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio and Television, Golden Eagle Broadcasting System (GBS), and Hunan Museum. It was undertaken by the Changsha Museum of Art. It is the museum’s first exhibition after its relocation to the Xiangjiang North Road. Calligraphy works by Qing Dynasty calligrapher He Shaoji are also on display at the museum.

Qi Baishi is a famous, creative and influential master of Chinese painting in the 20th century. His paintings embody the taste of Chinese painting and represent the highest level of modern Chinese literati painting art.

The exhibition exhibits 93 sets of Qi’s art works coming from the Beijing Zhongyi Dachen Art Investment Management Co., Ltd., Hunan Museum, and Hunan Library. The exhibits cover such themes as landscape, flowers and birds, fruits and melons, insects and fish, calligraphy, and seal cutting. Art chronology, quotations, and precious videos are also displayed. The exhibition is a precious exhibition of Qi's art works, displaying his relatively complete list of works with diversified contents. It will run until December 12.

-Take bus No. 36, 382, 408, or W176, and get off at Yuanjiahu Station [袁家湖站]; or,

-Take Changsha Metro Line 1, get off at the Kaifu District Government Station, exit the subway station from Exit 4, take bus No. 36 or 408, and get off at Yuanjiahu Station [袁家湖站].
