An e-commerce cooperation matchmaking conference, part of the 2019 Hunan-GBA (Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area) Investment Trade Conference, was held in Shenzhen on April 16. Seven cross-border e-commercial projects were contracted to locate in Changsha, including NetEase’s Kaola, Dongguan Ban Lu Supply Chain, Shenzhen 4PX Express (4PX) cross-border logistics, ok-mall, and Hunan Cross-border E-commerce (Ecology) Industrial Park bonded imports storehouse.
Youngs Investment Co., Ltd. contracted to set an imports storehouse at the Changsha Jinxia Bonded Logistics Center. The commodities from all around the world will be transferred from Hong Kong to Changsha, to satisfy Hunan people’s needs.
The first shipment will arrive in Changsha this June, said Youngs Investment executive director. Then Hunan consumers can purchase foreign goods online, and receive them the next day, even later that day for Changsha consumers. The goods include British beer and food, entry lux costume and bags, mother and baby products, and makeups.
Changsha’s three major cross-border e-commercial parks – Changsha Hi-tech Industrial Zone, Huanghua Comprehensive Bonded Zone, and Jinxia Bonded Logistics Center, and related projects were promoted at the conference. More than 100 cross-border e-commerce enterprises, including Alibaba, Global. JD, NetEase’s Kaola, ebay, and Vipshop, attended the conference.
Hunan gives priority to cross-border e-commerce development. In 2018, it ranked 9th among all Chinese provinces on the “Digital China” rankings of the China Internet Plus Index Report. The number of Hunan’s national e-commerce demonstration enterprises ranks first in central China. The annual average e-commerce trade volume increased by 60% in the past five years, and hit one trillion CNY in 2018. In July 2018, Changsha was approved as a National Comprehensive Cross-border E-commerce Pilot Zone, which laid a solid foundation for Hunan’s cross-border e-commerce development.
