He emphasized that it is necessary to follow Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as the fundamental basis; implement arrangements of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the People’s Government of Hunan Province; and, grasp development opportunities. Shaoyang should expand its unique advantages in terms of geographical location and ecology, and accelerate high-quality progress promotion. It is expected that its outstanding achievements will be the best way to greet the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, he added.

Governor Xu said, “Last year, the Higher People’s Court of Hunan Province and the People’s Procuratorate of Hunan Province focused on Hunan’s overall economic and social development situation; performed the duties stipulated in the Constitution of the People's Republic of China and other relevant laws; and, fulfilled the functions of jurisdiction and procuratorial work in accordance with law. They have contributed to social harmony and stability; and the fairness and justice of the society.” He continued, “The work reports of the Higher People’s Court of Hunan Province and the People’s Procuratorate of Hunan Province, abided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, summarized results and sought truth from facts. They are comprehensive and objective, with clear, pragmatic and effective work ideas.”

 

Delegates put forward opinions and suggestions on enhancing infrastructure construction, building a good business environment and characteristic towns, and strengthening the cultural tourism industry.
