Ethiopian-Hunan Industrial Park under Construction

The Changsha Economic Development Zone announced that Ethiopian-Hunan Industrial Park is currently under construction.There are 18 enterprises signed to enter the park. It is the first provincial-level sample development zone to promote construction in Africa.
 
The industrial park is located in Adama, capital of Oromia Region of Ethiopia, with a total investment of nearly 350 million USD and a total area of 122 hectares. It mainly serves for such industries as machinery manufacturing, building materials and construction, furniture and home appliances, and textile and apparel. As the project operation management party, the Changsha Economic Development Zone highlights the three connecting subjects of “Government, Enterprise and Platform”, and focuses on clarifying the coordination mechanism between Ethiopian project team of Changsha Economic Development Zone on the one hand and Ethiopian government, owners of the project and partners on the other hand. The “three-in-one” work pattern has been gradually established, including the Ethiopian-Hunan Industrial Park, the project’s platform company, and the business representative office. It will provide mechanism guarantee for the investment attraction, operation and management of the industrial park projects, and promoting enterprises of Changsha and even Hunan to “going global”.
 
The Changsha Economic Development Zone has held 20 investment promotion conferences in Addis Ababa, Xiamen, Beijing, Yiwu, Guangzhou, Jiaxing, as well as 13 prefecture-level cities, including Changsha, Zhuzhou, Xiangtan, Hengyang, and Loudi. It has also organized 7 batches of more than 80 enterprise delegations from clothing, textiles, agricultural machinery, building materials, shoemaking, and processing of meat products to visit Ethiopia for project inspection. A cumulative total of 15 market research projects have been carried out, and more than 80 Ethiopian local enterprises have been visited and contacted.
