Xiangtan Super Bridge of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Intercity Railway Takes Shape

Xiangjiang section of Xiangtan Super Bridge of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan intercity railway is to have its two sections joined.

Xiangjiang section of Xiangtan Super Bridge of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan intercity railway had its two sections joined on the evening of August 24. The bridge, constructed by the Third Engineering Co., Ltd of the 25th Bureau, CRCC (China Railway Construction Corporation Limited) and running about 13.86 kilometers, is the longest super bridge of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan intercity railway.

The joining of Xiangtan Super Bridge across Xiangjiang River brought more time for the follow-up bridge erection and track laying of Xiangtan section of the intercity railway. According to the plan, the main project of Xiangtan section strives to be completed in December 2015, laying the foundation for opening to traffic on the south of Changsha Railway Station in 2016.
