The Information Office of the Hunan Provincial People's Government held a press conference on November 4, announcing that the 2025 World Computing Conference will take place in Changsha from November 20 to 21. Changsha Vice Mayor Peng Tao attended.

Themed "Calculating the World to Create a New Era – Intelligent Computing Drives New Quality Productive Forces," this year's conference will feature 12 core events, including one high-level opening ceremony and keynote forum, five specialized sessions focusing on cutting-edge computing topics, five dedicated events centered on the industry's development empowered by technologies, and an exhibition showcasing innovation achievements.

The conference will invite leading experts in national industrial policies such as Xu Xiaolan and world-renowned academic figures like Nobel laureate Thomas Sargent, as well as more than ten academicians. The "Top 10 Global Computing Innovations," the "Top 10 Development Trends," and other outcomes will be released. Various innovative products will be displayed, including the Ascend 384 super-node system, intelligent integrated computing clusters, humanoid robots, intelligent connected vehicles, and brain-computer interfaces.

Initiated in 2019, the World Computing Conference has been successfully held in Changsha for six sessions, establishing itself as a high-end, international, and professional platform for exchanges and collaboration in the computing field. In recent years, Hunan has achieved high-quality development in its computing industry, and built China's only national advanced manufacturing cluster in the computing sector. It has established a mainstream pathway for domestic information technology application innovation—the "Two Chips, One Ecosystem" approach—which has been recognized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and promoted nationwide. A series of homegrown core products with large market share have been launched.
