The 4th International Summit on BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS) Applications will take place in Zhuzhou on September 24 and 25. It was learned from a press conference held by the Information Office of Hunan Provincial People's Government in Changsha on August 26.

The summit is hosted by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Cyberspace Administration of China, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Transport, and the People's Government of Hunan Province.

The theme of the summit is "One World, BDS with You—Smart Connectivity Across Time and Space." The summit closely follows the orientations of "marketization, industrialization, and internationalization" for the large-scale application of BDS. With a diverse agenda, it will include an opening ceremony, one high-level keynote speech, five theme forums, six cutting-edge academic exchanges, and a scenario demonstration exhibition, as well as various other activities.

As the most influential international event in the field of BeiDou in China, this year's summit will feature an indoor exhibition area and an outdoor one, showcasing thousands of application scenarios. So far, the summit has confirmed participations of three guest provinces of honor—Shandong, Zhejiang, and Jiangxi, and over ten demonstration cities for large-scale BDS applications such as Chengdu, Wuhan, and Zhengzhou, as well as more than one hundred domestic and international enterprises and organizations, including China Time and Space Information Group, China Telecom, China Mobile, China Unicom, Qianxun SI, and a Kazakhstan-based space company. Additionally, nearly 200 international guests will attend upon invitation, including representatives from international organizations such as UN-Habitat, global companies like a Kazakhstan-based space company, and countries including Timor-Leste, Madagascar, Pakistan, Brazil, South Africa, and Cuba.

During the summit, five key outcomes will be presented:
-- The debut of a range of new technologies, products, and applications for the large-scale use of BDS;
-- The release of the BDS Industry Development Blue Paper (2025) and typical cases of large-scale application of BDS;
-- The establishment of the "BDS Laboratory Alliance";
-- The presentation of the awards for the "14th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition—BDS Application Professional Contest" and outstanding academic papers of the summit; and,
-- A special signing ceremony for investment promotion activities related to BDS applications and industry development.
