A media briefing on the 2024 Hunan (Winter) Rural Cultural Tourism Festival and the 2024 Hunan (Winter) Village Gala Demonstration Showcase was held on December 12. According to the conference, the 2024 Hunan (Winter) Rural Cultural Tourism Festival is set to be held in Reshui Town, Rucheng County, Chenzhou City from December 20 to 22.

Themed "Welcome to Charming Hunan, Hot Springs Capital—Rucheng City", the festival features a series of activities in the form of "2+5".

The two major events are: the opening ceremony of the 2024 Hunan (Winter) Village Gala Demonstration Showcase as a part of the 2024 Hunan (Winter) Rural Cultural Tourism Festival, also the Chenzhou Hot Springs Season, and the First Rucheng International Hot Springs Healthcare Industry Development and Exchange Meeting.

The five serial activities include Rucheng key cultural tourism projects observation event; Rucheng cultural tourism investment attraction promotion conference; the night of intangible cultural heritage—Rucheng incense dragon dance performance; the 36th Art Performance of Three Counties in the Border Areas of Hunan, Guangdong, and Jiangxi Provinces; and, a rural happy run.

The festival is hosted by the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the People's Government of Chenzhou City, and organized by the Chenzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio, Television, and Sports and the People's Government of Rucheng County.
