Chinese museums received a total of 304 million visits in July and August this year -- a record high for the two summer months in the country, according to the National Cultural Heritage Administration on Wednesday.
The figure was a 7.96 million increase over the same period of 2024, marking a 2.6 percent growth.
East China's Jiangsu Province recorded the most museum visits over the two months with 26.35 million, followed by the eastern Shandong Province and the capital Beijing, which recorded 24.83 million and 19.93 million museum visits, respectively.
