The "Hunan Linking the World for Win-Win Cooperation" 2026 Hunan-Thailand Economic and Trade Promotion and Exchange Conference was held at the IMPACT Exhibition Center in Bangkok on the afternoon of June 3. The conference was hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Hunan Sub-council, attended by representatives from government agencies, business associations, and entrepreneurs from both China and Thailand. The participants gathered together to renew friendships and pursue common development, pushing Hunan-Thailand economic and trade cooperation to a new level.

Highly Complementary Supply and Demand Accelerate Hunan-Thailand Economic and Trade Cooperation into the "Fast Track"

Yang Aiyun, chairperson of the CCPIT Hunan Sub-council, stated in her address that although Hunan and Thailand are separated by mountains and seas, their exchanges are close and their friendship is enduring. Thailand is an important member of ASEAN and a key node country in the "Belt and Road" initiative. With the full implementation of the RCEP, Hunan-Thailand economic and trade cooperation continues to heat up and is ushering in its most thriving period.

Yang introduced that Hunan possesses a complete industrial system and strong manufacturing capabilities, featuring a product catalogue spanning high-quality doors and windows, sanitary ware, and panels, innovatively designed office and hotel furniture, energy-saving and environment-friendly new materials, and specialty products deeply favored by Thai consumers such as Hunan tea and Hunan embroidery. Hunan's "quality goods" are accelerating their global reach, fitting well with Thailand's continuously upgrading demands in infrastructure, tourism, hotel, and consumer markets.

Xiao Guogang, chairperson of the Thailand-ASEAN Economic and Trade Promotion Association, as well as other Thai representatives, spoke highly of the market competitiveness of Hunan products. They believed that Hunan and Thailand hold great potential for cooperation in such fields as building materials, hotels, and home furnishings. This conference  was expected to build an efficient and substantial matchmaking platform for enterprises from both sides, marking a significant step in promoting bilateral economic and trade cooperation.

10 Hunan Enterprises to Promote Platform-based Overseas Expansion

During the promotion speech session, 10 Hunan enterprises took the stage successively, including the Fulcrum International Group (Thailand) Co., Ltd., Goodnight Home Furnishing Technology Co., Ltd., Hunan Dieyilan Soft Furnishing Technology Co., Ltd., Asia Fuji Elevator Co., Ltd., Hunan Mengzhiyuan Technology and Trade Co., Ltd., Hunan FAC Chuangneng New Material Co., Ltd., Hunan Tengfei Putian Acoustic Building Materials Technology Co., Ltd., Hunan Rosemerk New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., and Changsha Henghui Environmental Protection Technology Development Co., Ltd. Their presentations focused on building materials, home furnishings, environment-friendly new materials, elevators, and hotel supplies, showcasing the comprehensive advantages of Hunan enterprises in product quality, technological innovation, and supply chain capabilities.

At the signing ceremony, multiple exhibiting enterprises signed contracts to set up a business in the Zhidian International Exhibition Center. Located in Pathum Thani Province, Thailand, this center integrates product display, order negotiation, warehousing and logistics, and after-sales service. It is supported by nearly 10,000 square meters of overseas warehouse space and agency operation services by a professional China-Thai joint venture sales team, achieving "exhibition-trade integration, always-online operation."

"In the past, when we explored the Thai market, a single trip would cost tens of thousands of yuan just for airfare and hotels, and we might not even find the right client," an enterprise representative remarked emotionally at the signing ceremony. Now, this platform serves as a "base camp" in Thailand.

This innovative model signifies that Hunan enterprises are shifting from their conventional fragmented trade methods into a more systematic and platform-based approach to expand business in the Thai and ASEAN markets, taking a solid step from "fighting alone" to "joining forces to go global."

One-on-One Business Matchmaking Boosts Hunan Enterprises' Confidence in "Going Global"

A one-on-one exhibitor-purchaser negotiation session was held at the end of the event in a lively atmosphere.

Dozens of Thai purchasers in such fields as building materials, design, real estate, and hotels engaged in in-depth exchanges with Hunan enterprise representatives. Both sides communicated efficiently on details like product requirements, quality standards, and logistics solutions, reaching multiple preliminary cooperation intentions.

Many managers from Hunan enterprises stated that the event offered targeted matchmaking and abundant resources, greatly enhancing their confidence in exploring the Thai market. Thai purchasers also spoke highly of the quality and cost-effectiveness of Hunan products and looked forward to long-term cooperation.

Yang stated that the CCPIT Hunan Sub-council will continue to serve as a "bridge" and "facilitator," making all-out efforts to facilitate "Hunan Products Going Global." She expressed hope that this conference would serve as a new starting point to allow more quality Hunan goods to enter Thailand and ASEAN, promoting the deep integration, coexistence, and mutual prosperity of Thai brands and Hunan industries, and jointly writing a new chapter of economic and trade cooperation under the spirit of "China and Thailand are One Family."

This fruitful conference is not only a testament to the potential of Hunan-Thailand economic and trade cooperation, but also adds a vibrant page to the economic and trade chapter of "China and Thailand are One Family."
